The essential oil of cajeput is extracted from the tea tree leucadendron (a plant also known as the white tea tree). This oil has a fragrance very similar to that of eucalyptus and is known for its analgesic, balsamic and soothing properties. It can be used for fumigations or massages. In aromatherapy it is known for its relaxing properties. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
