The essential oil of sage is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the plant. If inserted inside a room diffuser or an essence burner, it offers a feeling of well-being and relaxation. Given its expectorant properties, sage essential oil can be used to make fumigations. It also boasts deodorant, sebum-regulating, astringent and healing properties. In fact, it is often included in shampoos and lotions for oily hair. Toners with sage essential oil inside are also suitable for acne-prone, oily or impure skin. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
