Lemon essential oil is extracted from the rind of the fruit and is known and appreciated for its aromatherapy properties. If inserted inside a room diffuser or an essence burner, it offers a feeling of well-being and relaxation. Lemon essential oil also boasts astringent, lightening and antibacterial properties: it is in fact used in numerous cosmetic formulations for acne-prone, oily or impure skin. Excellent for massages to promote lymphatic and blood circulation. Simply add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to a cream or carrier oil and then massage your arms, legs and ankles. This essential oil also boasts antioxidant properties and is useful for strengthening nails. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
