Description

The essential oil of sage is obtained through steam distillation of the plant's leaves. If placed in a room diffuser or an essence burner, it offers a sensation of well-being and relaxation. The essential oil of sage, given its expectorant properties, can be used to make fumigations. It also boasts deodorant, seboregulatory, astringent and healing properties. It is often included in shampoos and lotions for oily hair. Tonics containing sage essential oil are also recommended for acne-prone, oily or impure skin. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
