The essential oil of eucalyptus (eucalyptus globulus) is mainly known for its expectorant, decongestant, and balsamic properties. Excellent for making fumigations, eucalyptus essential oil also boasts refreshing and purifying properties. If inserted into a room diffuser or an essence burner, it gives a relaxing, soothing sensation. This oil is also used for draining, relaxing and decontracting massages. It can be added (one or two drops are enough) to shampoo in case of seborrhea or dandruff and to shower gel to enjoy the refreshing effect that this essential oil gives. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
